Correlation of Malignant Mesothelioma and Asbestos

Mesothelioma is a very malignant tumor. Its development leads to death and the treatments that exist are ineffective. The exposure to the Asbestos is the main factor for its development. The correlation between exposure to asbestos and carcinogenicity was first established in 1955. In recent years, people have been sensitized to the presence of asbestos in buildings and constructions. The risk arises from the destruction of asbestos and the production of dust. Even if the safety rules are applied meticulously, the problem will remain and it will take 20-30 years to stop mesothelioma diagnosis. Nurses play an important role in sensitizing the public and in early and proper diagnosis of malignant mesothelioma.
